I am an avid Habs fan that grew up in Ottawa during the darkest era in Montreal Canadiens’ history, the dreaded 90s. My youth consisted of watching CBC and SRC on Saturday nights, watching my beloved Habs. How I witness through the days of Juha Lind and Patrick Poulin donning the red, white, and blue “CH” and still remain a fan, is beyond me. Regardless, I remain a fan and to this day still try follow the Canadiens on daily basis. As a late 80s baby, having never watched the glory days of the 70s or Guy Lafleur and Ken Dryden play, my favourite players growing up included Patrick Roy, Saku Koivu and Carey Price. Like all Habs fans around the world, one day I hope to witness another Stanley Cup parade down St. Catherines and a 25th Stanley Cup banner hanging in the rafters of the Bell Centre.
